A motorist was arrested by members of Police Station 8 (PS8) after he allegedly tried to evade a police checkpoint along Lacson Extension in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City, late Sunday evening.

Police identified the suspect as 36-year-old Joffrey Jaducana, a resident of Purok Katilingban in Barangay Banago of the said city.

PS8 commander, Police Chief Inspector Ruel Culanag, said law enforcement was conducting a checkpoint when Jaducana tried to elude police with his motorcycle.

Cops immediately gave chase, which resulted in Jaducana’s arrest.

A search of the suspect and his motorcycle recovered one elongated sachet of suspected shabu and several identification cards.

Jaducana is facing criminal charges over the incident and is presently detained at PS8./DGB, WDJ
