After it was revealed 20 out of 61 Bacolod City barangays were participating in the ongoing Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS), where barangay officials are expected to be present in order for business owners to obtain barangay clearances, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia assumed they were being uncooperative because of politics.
“This is all about making Bacolod business-friendly,” he urged. “This has nothing to do about politics.”
BOSS, taking place at the Bacolod City Government Center until January 20, seeks to provide faster and convenient business permit registration and renewal.
Earlier, City Executive Assistant Samuel Montoyo said officials not taking part will face administrative charges./NC, WDJ
