Frances Glen Panes was named the winner of the 2017 ManChess Championships, which came to a close recently at the Mansilingan
Chess Society training center in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
A member of the Panes Trucking Services Chess Team, which won the 2017 Barangay Mansilingan Annual Fiesta Team Chess Tournament in early December 2017, Panes finished with 17.0 points, winning five games and drawing two.
Ernie Abanco came in second place with 15.0 points and Ellan Asuela finished in third place with 13.0 points.
