PRO-6: Holiday crimes drop throughout the region

According to Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) spokesperson, Police Superintendent Gilbert Gorero, crimes committed during a 12-hour period between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dropped, from 147 incidents reported last year, to 17 this year.

The specific period ran from 5:00 p.m. on December 24 to 5:00 a.m. on December 25.

Among the deadly incidents reported included 35-year-old Rhogen Pelante stabbed to death on Christmas Day in Kalibo, Aklan; along with Reymus Divinagracia being fatally punched in the head by a barangay tanod in Concepcion, Iloilo./WDJ
