Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bacolod Field Office seized P150,000 worth of suspected shabu following the arrest of seven suspects, along with one minor, in the raid of a home at Purok Cagaycay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City, Wednesday afternoon.
The target subject was identified as 18-year-old Carlos Sonico, who was captured in what the PDEA coined a “high impact operation.”
The other arrested individuals included 33-year-old Kiefer Salnac; 21-year-old Wendyl Arcenio; 37-year-old Ernie Magbanua; 42-year-old Kerwin Hablero; 44-year-old Wilfredo Diaz; 33-year-old Anthony Cadungo, the owner of the home; and an unidentified 17-year-old, said to be a drug runner for the suspects.
The PDEA has been conducting surveillance for the past two months, following reports illegal drug operations were taking place within the community.
The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2 and face charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./NC, WDJ
