Eight individuals were arrested on suspicions of illegal gambling in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, Wednesday night.

The suspects were identified as Arnel Mondejar, Roy Ubradilla, Ala Matus, Rolly Hofileña, Allan Sibugal, Roque Hofileña, Henry Sibugal, and Melvin Maratas.

According to officials from Police Station 4, the eight were caught playing an illegal numbers game ‘Tumbo.”

Police recovered P200 in different denominations, presumed to be bet money.

The gamblers face charges in violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which implements stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./NC, WDJ
