A fire severely damaged a pickup truck parked inside a car repair shop along Gonzaga Street in Barangay 26, Bacolod City, early yesterday morning.

Firefighters identified the vehicle’s owner as Vicente Guerrero, a resident of the said barangay.

Based on a statement by the shop’s caretaker, he entered the car shop to find the truck was already ablaze.

He immediately called for assistance, with the Bureau of Fire Protection arriving a few minutes later to quell the blaze.

The pickup truck incurred damage towards the front portion of the vehicle, with tires destroyed by the fire.

Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the blaze./DGB, WDJ
