The price of flowers being sold in front of the San Sebastian Cathedral has doubled ahead of this year’s All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day observances, which runs from November 1 to 2.
According to flower vendor Marilou Palonia, each flower can cost between P20 and P25, however, the price of arrangements can run from P350 to P400, as compared to the everyday price of P200.
Palonia suggests arrangements in rounded baskets for those looking to save some money; they range between P70 for small baskets to P300 for large ones.
Meanwhile, a three-layer flower arrangement can cost between P1,500 to P2,000.
In terms of candles, department stores and grocery stores report prices unchanged, ranging from P15 for three pieces to P75 for a small pack./DGB, WDJ
