8¢/kWh hike not factored in yet

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) revealed the residential rate for October 2017 will be P11.0280 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), an increase of over one peso as compared to last month’s P10.0130/kWh.
The utility co-op blamed the changes on fluctuations in the generation charge, transmission charge, and system loss.
Previously, the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) allowed the Korean Electric Power Corporation-Salcon Power Corporation (Kepco-SPC) and Ceneco to collect P232 million from consumers, which would result in an 8¢/kWh rate hike. However, Ceneco President Roy Cordova said the increase would be put on hold temporarily.
Back in March of this year, rates hit P11.1669/kWh./PLL, WDJ
