Murcia Municipal Police Station investigators are considering two possible motives into the recent murder of Don Salvador Benedicto Town Councilor Eden Bacordo, and two others, in Barangay Lopez Jaena, Murcia in Negros Occidental.
According to Murcia municipal police chief, Police Chief Inspector Ronald Santillan, Bacordo is considered a suspect in the killing of former Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Bongcayao Brigade (RPA-ABB) commander Charlie Buli-buli, which took place back in July in Don Salvador Benedicto.
He also suggested the possibility of a love triangle between him and his lover Lea Mae Saldoa, who was murdered alongside Bacordo.
A day before his murder, Santillan noted, Bacordo was in Bacolod City to file a counter-affidavit in relation to charges surrounding the Buli-buli case.
He added, an autopsy of the victims has already been conducted.
Last Friday morning, Bacordo, Saldoa, and his bodyguard Arnold Larida were gunned down by three unidentified men.
Police recovered several pieces of ammunition from the crime scene, including those belonging to an M16 assault rifle and an M1 Garand rifle./WDJ
