Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) acting director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, recently identified the newest group linked with robbery and illegal drugs operating in the city, naming the Villarete robbery group, led by a certain Johnie Villarete.
Wanky noted, Villarete was previously arrested following the botched robbery attempt of a pharmacy and delivery truck last month.
He also named Alvin Rey Jimenez and Paul Martin Duque as members, both of whom were also arrested in the said incident.
The three were eventually released after they posted bail, along with the victims failing to file criminal charges, Wanky explained.
He added, Villarete was a former member of the notorious Aki Cuadra Robbery Group, but started his own group after Cuadra himself became “too hot” in the eyes of the police./WDJ
