The opening rites for the annual Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) meet is scheduled to take place today at 1:00 p.m. at STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU), with star athletes Kiefer Ravena and Alyssa Valdez expected to be in attendance.
2017 Palarong Pambansa gold medal winning gymnast Kiana Marie Alagaban of Bacolod Tay Tung High School will lead the torch lighting, alongside swimmer Timothy Concon of La Consolacion College-Bacolod and volleyball player Christian Marcelino of the University of St. La Salle.
Meanwhile, NOPSSCEA president, Dr. Ervie Emelda Gallespen, will deliver the welcome remarks.
