A motorcyclist was injured after crashing along the national highway at Hacienda Fe, Barangay Batuan, La Carlota City in Negros Occidental, Tuesday morning.
According to police, the victim was Christian Jan Gamala, a college student and resident of Barangay Quezon, Canlaon City in Negros Oriental.
La Carlota City police station traffic investigators revealed the victim was attempting to overtake another vehicle when he lost control of his motorcycle, swerved, and crashed.
Gamala was sent to the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital in La Carlota City and was later referred to a hospital in Bacolod City for further medical treatment after acquiring several injuries across different parts of his body.
Currently, the victim’s damaged motorcycle is under the custody of the La Carlota City Police Station./WDJ
