After Philippines Football League (PFL) club Davao Aguilas FC signed both Phil and James Younghusband from FC Meralco Manila last month, the two stars of the Philippine national football team, the Azkals, will debut for their club this weekend as they face Global Cebu FC today, September 9, at 4:00 p.m. at the Davao del Norte Sports Complex in Tagum City.

The brothers ended the international break with a 2-2 draw against Yemen during the recent 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification round match at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City. Striker Phil Younghusband scored the first goal in the 30th minute, while midfielder James Younghusband landed the equalizer in the 71st minute; salvaging a draw.

The Aguilas currently sit one above last place on the league table, with zero wins after 12 matches.

Back in July, Ceres-Negros FC midfielder Jason de Jong also signed with the Davao City club./PLL, WDJ
