Bacolod City Congressman Greg Gasataya has requested the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) yesterday to expedite the completion of the drainage project in Barangay Mandalagan, after a vehicle accidentally fell in an excavation early morning Monday.
Gasataya said he immediately contacted District Engineer Abraham Villareal after receiving information about the accident.
The solon said he requested Villareal to install early warning devices along the excavation site and instructed him to complete the project at the soonest possible time.
Villareal, who said he immediately acted on the request of the congressman, admitted there is a delay in the completion of the project due to electrical works involving a telephone line that is being installed nearby./WDJ
