A minor suspected of robbing several commercial establishments was arrested yesterday at Purok Bayanihan, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, following weeks of surveillance by Police Station 2 (PS2).
PS2 chief, Police Chief Inspector Benedict Villarias, refused to provide the identity of the 15-year-old suspect.
According to Villarias, the suspect was caught in an area of Purok Bayanihan where police officers were investigating a carnapping case.
He added the suspect has entered over 20 establishments, including the burglary of a popular restaurant along Lacson Street earlier this month.
The minor also reportedly admitted to having a “boss” who provides protection.
Police have since turned over the minor suspect to the Social Development Center./WDJ
