The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) announced consumers will be assessed an increased tariff, effective this month, August 2017.
According to a release from the cooperative, the Feed-In Tariff Allowance (FIT-ALL) will be collected at a rate of P0.1830 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), up from P0.1240/kWh; an increase of P0.0590/KWH
The tariff is considered a “government assurance,” with hopes funds serve as incentive for investors to develop more renewable energy.
Earlier this week, Ceneco announced residential rates had decreased this month by P0.330/kWh.
Meanwhile, the electricity co-op also addressed the power interruption that affected Talisay City, saying the August 6 incident was due to maintenance activity.
They noted, the said maintenance activity was originally scheduled for that morning, however, bad weather conditions forced them to conduct the activity that evening./WDJ
