PDEA recognizes eight PRO-18 police officers

Eight Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18) police officers received awards yesterday from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) regional director, during a ceremony at the Camp Alfredo Montelibano, Sr., Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.
According to PRO-18 spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, PDEA-18 director, Atty. Roselyn Borja said the officers were recognized for valuable and efficient performances, which have brought honor and pride to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Among those recognized were Police Superintendents Antonietto Cañete, Roberto Lingbawan, and Alvin Futalan; Police Chief Inspector Mark Anthony Darroca, Senior Police Officer 1 (SPO1) Marlou Ragay, and Police Officers 2 (PO2) Patrick Garcia, Rey Anthony Bañga, and Angelo Pacardo.
During her speech, Borja stressed the need for cooperation between agencies, stating, “Only then can we succeed in our fight against illegal drugs.”
The ceremony culminated with a parade and review./WDJ
