
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, shown with City Councilor Em Ang, Executive Assistant Ernie Pineda, and Israel Salanga, led the distribution of P10,000 loans, in the form of livelihood assistance, for market vendors at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC), yesterday.
A total 200 market vendors each received a P10,000 loan, in the form of livelihood assistance, from the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC), yesterday.
According to DSSD head Pacita Tero, the loan is payable in three months and is intended to “empower market vendors.”
She added, the assistance is funded by the Bottom-up Budgeting program from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Leading the distribution of the loan funds were Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia; Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran; and City Councilors Caesar Distrito, Em Ang, and Bartolome Orola./WDJ
