Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation at Purok Raming, Barangay Pilar, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, Thursday evening.
Police identified the suspects as 52-year-old Ernesto Gonzales, a resident of Sitio Raming in the said barangay; and Ermigilda Dela Cruz, 57, a resident of Purok Bayanihan, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.
Reports said the suspects were arrested in an operation conducted by a drug enforcement team led by Police Senior Inspector Lawrence Bathan, in which the suspects allegedly conspired and sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer for P500.
Confiscated from Dela Cruz were five sachets of suspected shabu, five P100 bills of buy-bust money, one cellular phone, five transparent sachets, two P100 bills believed to be proceeds of selling illegal drugs, and a black wallet.
Meanwhile, Gonzales yielded drug paraphernalia, a revolver, and two mobile phones.
The two are facing illegal drugs charges and are detained at the Hinigaran Municipal Police Station./WDJ
