A suspected gang of three robbed an apartment at Block 21, Lot 1, Gardenville Subdivision, Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City, early Saturday morning.
Police identified the victims as Jerboy Lomillo, 27, and his two nieces; all are residents of Barangay Zone 4A, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Police reported, Lomillo was awakened by the three armed and unidentified suspects who were already inside their apartment and threatened to shoot him.
His hands were then tied with packaging tape as one of the suspects guarded him and the other two went inside the room of his nieces, who were sleeping, in search of valuables.
When the two girls woke up, the eldest niece was forcefully undressed but the suspected sexual assault attempt was abandoned.
Taken from the victims were a number of appliances, an electric fan, and an ATM card.
The suspects fled east on an unknown model of motorcycle.
According to Limo Piadotche, the pedicab driver flagged down by the suspects, the suspects loaded the stolen items into his vehicle and instructed him to bring them to Bangga LCC Gardenville Subdivision, while they followed on their motorcycle.
When they arrived at the destination, the items were loaded into an unidentified taxi.
All items were pending proper inventory and prices as they recently arrived from the nieces’ mother, who is overseas.
According to Police Senior Inspector Wilfredo Benoman, Jr., an investigation and hot pursuit operation are currently being conducted by Police Station 8./WDJ
