A motorcyclist was killed after he slammed into an oncoming sport utility vehicle (SUV) along Gonzaga Extension, Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City yesterday morning.
Police identified the fatality as 24-year-old Roger Artajo, Jr., a resident of Purok Matinumanon, Escalante City; while the injured as 39-year-old Reja Cristina Olandesca, a resident of Purok Maghirupay Aning, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City.
Traffic Management Unit (TMU) investigator, Police Officer 3 (PO3) Docelio Pachoro, said Artajo was traveling west, when he slammed into Olandesca’s SUV.
The impact threw Artajo off his motorcycle and falling headfirst into the pavement, killing him on the spot. Olandesca, meanwhile, sustained several injuries on her body and was rushed to South Bacolod General Hospital for treatment.
Pachoro added, Artajo was found at fault for the incident as he was on the wrong side of the road./WDJ
