An 18-year-old coffee shop customer was nearly shot along 23rd Lacson Street, part of Barangay 5, Bacolod City, after the individual he invited for coffee recently pointed a gun at him.
Police identified the victim as Jero Rebote, a resident of Purok Kalantas, Barangay Villamonte of the said city.
Investigators from Police Station 2 (PS2) said Rebote was having coffee inside the shop when he invited the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Ronnie Ramos, to join him.
The friendly invite turned ugly when Ramos allegedly pulled an improvised pin gun and pointed it at Rebote.
The shop manager noticed the commotion and intervened by calling the attention of the security guard, resulting in the arrest of Ramos.
Police recovered the suspect’s pin gun and two pieces of live .45 caliber ammunition.
Ramos could face charges for illegal possession of firearm and is detained at PS2./WDJ
