Two tricycle drivers died on Saturday after their vehicles collided along the national highway, Bangga Parnaso, Barangay Cubay, La Carlota City.
Police identified the fatalities as 51-year-old Harlou Mombay, a resident of the said barangay; and Rico Fagarita, a resident of Barangay La Granja in La Carlota City.
The city’s police chief, Police Superintendent Cresenciano Cordero, Jr., said their investigation revealed the two were traveling in opposite directions when they were involved in a head-on collision.
Both victims were rushed to the nearest hospital but were declared dead on arrival.
A passenger, Randolf Sioco, survived with several injuries.
Police have yet to determine the cause of the accident./WDJ
