A 62-year-old senior citizen was arrested by San Carlos police during an anti-illegal gambling drive at Hacienda Fortuna, Barangay Buluangan, San Carlos City, Thursday afternoon.
Police identified the suspect as Perfecto Hagonoy, a resident of Sitio Sumolog of the said barangay.
Recovered from Hagonoy’s possession were two Jai-Alai tipsters, a bundle stub of paper with three-digit number combinations for Jai-Alai dated June 15, 2017, and P158 worth of suspected gambling proceeds.
San Carlos police added they had been monitoring Hagonoy for several days, before the city’s police chief, Police Supt. Arturo Fullero, gave the order to arrest Hagonoy.
Hagonoy faces illegal gambling charges and is detained at the San Carlos City Police Station./WDJ
