A 35-year-old man reportedly set himself on fire after his girlfriend broke up with him at Punta Magsungay, Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City, last Tuesday.
Police have refused to name the victim, but confirmed he is a resident of the said barangay.
Based on investigations by Police Station 8 (PS8), the victim visited the home of his girlfriend in Barangay Mandalagan. However, after arriving at the girlfriend’s residence, she broke up with him.
The victim returned home and poured gasoline all over his house and himself and set it on fire.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) after sustaining third degree burns all over his body./WDJ
