Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) director, Police Chief Superintendent Cesar Hawthorne Binag, recently launched a two-month gun retraining for police officers assigned to the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo.
Police in the Western Visayas are currently undergoing handgun proficiency testing and Binag believes handgun proficiency is an important component towards the overall efficiency of a police officer.
“It’s about police officers who have to be confident in using their firearms,” he said.
