P64.1K worth of cash, valuables stolen in Talisay City

An unidentified burglar carted away P64,100 worth of cash and valuables after hitting a house at Menlo Heights Subdivision, Barangay Zone 10, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, early morning Friday.
Police identified the victim and homeowner as 50-year-old Rodney Ita-as.
Talisay City police said, based on their ocular inspection of the victim’s residence, the suspect gained entry by climbing to the second floor of the house with a bamboo ladder and opening a sliding door.
Once inside, the suspect took several electronic gadgets, laptops, and cash amounting to P3,500.
Authorities report the overall value of the stolen items comes to around P64,100.
Police are currently trying to determine the identity of the suspect./WDJ
