Remains discovered in Hinigaran plantation

The remains of an 80-year-old woman were discovered by farmers in a sugarcane plantation at Sitio Ambacan, Barangay Gargato, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, Monday morning.
Police identified the fatality as Delecia Bana-ag, a resident of Kahilwayan Village in the said barangay.
Hinigaran police said Michael Remus, a farm laborer, went to the station reporting he found a body on their plantation.
The remains were later identified as Bana-ag after family recognized her through the clothes she was wearing.
According to the family, the victim went missing on May 22.
Bana-ag’s remains are scheduled to undergo an autopsy to determine the cause of death./WDJ
