The mother of former Berya drug group member Ricky Serenio appealed to members of the media to stop reporting about the recent murders of Wilfredo and Wilmar Serenio, her husband and son, respectively.
She pointed out the family still lives in Barangay Singcang-Airport and said she does not want to see another member of her family killed.
Her husband was killed last month, while her son met his demise in April.
Meanwhile, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) acting director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, confirmed the primary suspect, Senior Police Officer 1 (SPO1) Joshua Barile, is being charged for the murders.
Wanky said the case is now in court and it is up to the court to decide.
“If a warrant of arrest is issued for Barile, he may face an administrative case, which may lead to a recommendation for his preventive suspension,” he explained.
Barile previously gave a press conference denying the accusations, saying he was dismayed that “nobody can be trusted” anymore.
He maintained the accusations against him were “fabricated” because there was a “big person” implicating him in the case./WDJ
