Commuter stabbed in Villamonte

A commuter was sent to the hospital on Monday evening after he was stabbed along Circumferential Road, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.
Police identified the victim as 26-year-old Lorenzo Cordova, a resident of Gold Land Village, Doña Juliana, Barangay Taculing of the said city.
Investigators from Police Station 4 (PS4) said the victim, together with his friend, were boarding a tricycle, when the suspect, identified as Jesus Atas, assaulted Cordova.
The suspect, armed with a bladed weapon, allegedly stabbed the victim in the armpit, nose, and neck before fleeing the crime scene.
Cordova was rushed to the Bacolod Doctor’s Hospital for medical treatment, while Atas is currently being hunted down by police./WDJ
