During their recent regular meeting, the Bacolod City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) sought the support of the city’s Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs) in their anti-drug efforts.
CADAC passed a resolution requesting BADAC comply with Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No. 3, which, according to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Director, Atty. Roselyn Borja, mandates BADACs to create Barangay Anti-Drug Auxiliary Teams.
The resolution also calls on BADACs to support law enforcement in drug-clearing and rehabilitation programs.
Meanwhile, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, said five Bacolod City barangays are close to being declared drug-free, pending additional requirements imposed by the national office./WDJ
