The Negros Island Region (NIR) elementary boys football team recently opened their 2017 Palarong Pambansa campaign with a 3-0 win over Eastern Visayas. They next face the Cordillera Autonomous Region at 7:00 a.m. today with the opportunity to top Group C.
Meanwhile, the NIR secondary boys football team is looking to improve from their bronze medal performance last year.
They next face Northern Mindanao at 2:00 p.m. today.
The team still has a chance at topping Group A, following their 1-1 draw with defending champions, the National Capital Region (NCR), and 7-2 demolition of Central Luzon./WDJ
