A Barangay Cabug kagawad and six others were arrested following a buy-bust operation by joint operatives from the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-18 (RDEU-18) and Police Station 7 (PS7) at the Victorina Subdivision, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City, Saturday morning.
Police identified the suspects as Barangay Cabug Kagawad Vonkarlo De Paula, 31; Robert Azero, 26; Renato Nicor, 53; Joefy Casiano, 40; John Mark Amodia, 25; Dindo Crispe, 27; and the primary target of the operation, 40-year-old Josan Cawacas.
PS7 commander, Police Chief Inspector Charles Gever, said they arrested all seven suspects after they were caught in the act of snorting suspected shabu inside the target house.
A search yielded three small and one big sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and an undisclosed amount of suspected drug money.
The suspects have since denied the accusations and are detained at PS7, due to face illegal drugs charges./WDJ
