Trucker survives shooting incident in Kabankalan City

A trucker reportedly survived after he was shot twice by a farm laborer at Purok Kapangyasan, Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, Sunday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Noreil Dominguez, a resident of Barangay San Jose, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.
Investigators from Kabankalan City Police Station said the victim, along with several others, were drinking inside a friend’s house when the suspect, identified only as “Daku Patubo,” 25, of Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, entered the house.
The suspect allegedly drew a .38 caliber revolver and shot Dominguez twice before fleeing in an unknown direction.
Dominguez sustained a graze wound on his forehead and was rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital for medical treatment.
Police have yet to determine the motive behind the incident, and are currently conducting a follow-up operation against the suspect./WDJ
