CPOC Special Meeting DILG Undersecretary attends to discuss various issues

The special meeting of the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC), held at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) last week, saw Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Jesus Hinlo, Jr. attend for the first time.
Joined by Bacolod City Mayor EvelioLeonardia, who chairs the council, the DILG official provided input on problems facing departments including the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Topics including congestion in jails, maritime security, the handling of drug evidence, illegal structures, and street children were also discussed./WDJ
