A 26-year-old man was shot and burned by unidentified suspects yesterday in Barangay Canlandog, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as Joy Paulino, a resident of Sitio Monarch in the said barangay.
Based on initial probe by Murcia police, the victim was reportedly involved in a land dispute.
Unidentified suspects reportedly shot him and burned down his house while he was still inside, killing him in the process.
Investigators found several empty cartridges from an assault rifle and several empty shells of 12-gauge shotgun.
Police are now in the process of identifying the suspects./WDJ
