Six people, including a 17-year-old minor, were nabbed by members of Police Station 6 (PS6) Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) at Purok Katilingban, Barangay 40, Bacolod City, late Wednesday evening.
Police have refused to identify the minor but named the other suspects as Ruldan Steve Parrar, 37; Joemarie Lachica, 30; Rhoden Romagos, 39; Piola Patricio, 51; and Jesus Genelaso, 54, all residents of the said barangay.
PS6 commander, Police Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, said they were conducting a monitoring operation in the area when they spotted the suspects using illegal drugs.
Cops immediately nabbed the suspects and recovered one elongated and one small sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, and several empty sachets with traces of suspected shabu.
The drugs later tested positive for shabu, based on a report by the Provincial Crime Laboratory. The suspects face charges in violation of RA 9165, or the dangerous drugs act of 2002./WDJ
