The Regional Development Council-Region VI (RDC-6) recently endorsed a proposed 2018 budget of P73.93 billion, expected to fund government agencies and local state universities and colleges.
According to National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) regional director Ro-Ann Bacal, who also serves as acting RDC-6 chairperson, the bulk of the funding will go to government agencies, with at least P66.78 billion being distributed across agencies in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo provinces.
The remaining will fund the 11 state universities and colleges in Western Visayas./WDJ
