Malaysian football club Felda United defeated Ceres-Negros FC, 3-0, in their 2017 AFC Cup Group G match last night at the Shah Alam Stadium.
Midfielder Syahid Zaidon scored a rocket goal in the 6th minute, carrying the Malaysian side to a 1-nil advantage at the break.
Two more goals were added by midfielders Hadin Azman and Fazrul Hazli Kadri in the 65th and 76th minutes, respectively.
Ceres next faces Vietnam’s Hà Nội FC at the Panaad Park and Stadium on April 19.
As of press time, Tampines Rovers of Singapore and Hà Nội are playing their match at the Jalan Besar Stadium, Singapore. A victory for either club will put them atop the group./WDJ
