A taxi driver and a collector were held-up in separate robbery incidents in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, over the weekend.
Police identified the victims as 29-year-old Joseph Maiguillo, a resident of Barangay Taculing; and Philip Geronimo, 23, a collector and resident of Barangay Mansilingan.
Police Station 4 (PS4) said Maiguillo visited the station following the incident and reported the unidentified suspect boarded his taxi in Barangay Villamonte and pointed an unknown weapon at him and declared a hold-up.
The suspect took the cash from the victim, amounting to P1,500.
Police said the victim sustained minor injuries, as the suspect fled the scene in the taxi. The vehicle was later recovered at the Capitol Heights Subdivision, Barangay Villamonte.
Meanwhile, the other victim, a collector of Gold Coin Lending Corp. and resident of Barangay Mansilingan, also visited PS4 to report the incident.
The victim reported to PS4, while he was collecting debt money on April 1 in Barangay Villamonte, he was stopped by two unidentified suspects riding a motorcycle pointing an unknown caliber of firearm.
The suspects forced the victim to give up his sling bag, containing collection money amounting to P29,000.
The unidentified suspects fled after the incident, leaving Geronimo unharmed.
PS4 are currently investigating both incidents./WDJ
