According to data from the Iloilo City Health Office, there were 66 cases of dengue recorded in the city between January and March of this year, a drop from the 183 recorded during the same period last year.
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog encouraged residents to continue their clean-up drives to keep the number of cases declining, while Assistant City Health Chief, Dr. Mae Delmo, said free larvicides continue to be distributed throughout city barangays.
Delmo also reminded barangay captains to continue cleaning every Saturday to prevent the creation of breeding ground for mosquitoes./WDJ
