Ceres-Negros FC team manager James Dinsay confirmed, yesterday, the club signed midfielder Omid Nazari and fitness coach Jose Augusto Losada.
Nazari previously played for United Football League (UFL) club Global FC, now Global Cebu FC in the Philippines Football League (PFL). However, he got his start with his hometown club of Malmö FF, later moving to other Swedish clubs Ängelholms FF and FC Rosengård 1917. He went on to join Global last year and, prior to his signing with Ceres, did a short stint with Malaysian outfit Melaka United FC.
Meanwhile, Losada brings with him a strong resume, including a Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) “A” license, which allows holders to coach professional second-tier clubs and reserve teams for top-flight clubs; along with attaining multiple sports science degrees from Spain’s Universidad de Cádiz./WDJ
