A traffic cop was suspended by the Bacolod City Police Office-Traffic Management Unit (BCPO-TMU) after she was flagged down, yesterday, by her fellow traffic enforcers for not wearing a helmet.
BCPO-TMU and Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) chief, Police Superintendent Luisito Acebuche, said the enforcer, Marlyn Dahil-dahil, will be suspended for one month for failing to follow the “No helmet, No travel” policy.
Aside from Dahil-dahil, Acebuche confirmed they have also confiscated the licenses of three police officers after they were also flagged down for not wearing a helmet.
In all, they have confiscated 331 licenses after implementing the policy, which started Monday afternoon.
The operation is being carried out by the BCPO-TMU, BTAO, Highway Patrol Group (HPG), and the Land Transportation Office (LTO)./WDJ
