With the STI National Basketball Tournament cluster eliminations ending today, with host school STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU) taking on STI-Aklan, STI-WNU head coach Dennis Tumayan said the tournament serves as a warm-up for the upcoming 2017 National Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Championships, set to take place in Iba, Zambales from April 22 to 29.
Tumayan, who also coaches the secondary boys basketball team of the Negros Island Region (NIR) delegation heading to the 2017 Palarong Pambansa, scheduled from April 23 to 29 in Antique, reiterated the challenges posed from training both teams for simultaneous tournaments.
However, he said he has been “working double time” to deal with the responsibilities.
Also taking part in the STI tournament is STI-Iloilo./WDJ
