Sagay City-native Natori Diaz won the Mary Jo Aguirre Kiddies 16 Under Women’s Chess Championship in Talisay City over the weekend, taking home P3,000.
Aliah Belano of Bacolod City took second place, followed by Manilyn Cabungcag of Escalante City.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Aera Sinining, Natalie Young, Jasmine Atienza, Jamelin Lim, Charlize Cuambot, Tashana Gallego, and Charlize Tashana.
Among the special awards, Gallego won Top 12-year-old player, Atienza won Top 10-year-old player, and Angelique Belanio won Top 8-year-old player./WDJ
