A 37-year-old man was killed after he was allegedly hacked during his sleep at Hacienda Manlo Uno, Barangay Cudangdang, EB Magalona town, Sunday evening.
Police identified the fatality as Gilbert Cordero, a resident of the said barangay.
EB Magalona municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Bonifacio Aral, Jr., said Cordero was sleeping, along with his nine-year-old child, when unidentified suspects hacked him.
Cordero immediately died on the scene after sustaining a fatal hack wound to the head and across different parts of his body.
Aral added they are still probing the incident, as Cordero was reportedly involved in a heated argument prior to the incident./WDJ
