Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, confirmed to Watchmen Daily Journal that Police Station 3 (PS3) will vacate its current location beside Lopue’s Mandalagan, Lacson Street, Barangay Mandalagan on the first week of April.
In a text message sent by Wanky, PS3 will temporarily be relocated at the old Barangay Mandalagan Hall at Purok Santol.
Wanky also said the relocated station will have an available holding cell for arrested individuals, unlike their counterparts in Police Station 2 (PS2), which, after their temporary relocation to the Barangay 5 Hall, transported arrested suspects to BCPO headquarters in Barangay Taculing for detention.
PS2 now has a permanent station located beside the Andres Bonifacio Elementary School.
Previously, PS3 received a notice to vacate from Lopue’s Mandalagan, which owns the building where they are currently housed.
The BCPO is now looking for a permanent site for PS3./WDJ
