Nine houses were confirmed destroyed and three others were damaged after a blaze ravaged a residential area of Purok Pinanubol, Barangay 6, Victorias City, Thursday afternoon.
In a report by Bombo Radyo-Bacolod, Barangay 6 Kagawad Rammy Delarma said the fire started at a house owned by Elvie Esparagosa and quickly spread to neighboring areas as the houses were constructed close to each other.
Three fire trucks responded while local residents forcibly cut a water line owned by the Victorias City Water District in an effort to fight off the blaze, which was quickly quelled.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is still conducting an investigation into the cause of the blaze./WDJ
