Former Berya drug group member Ricky Serenio said his former paymaster and alleged drug lord Berya Tolentino is planning to surface in the coming days.
In an interview by Bombo Radyo-Bacolod last Wednesday, Serenio said Berya is planning to surface in order to execute her own affidavits.
The reason behind the move was because she was tired of being named in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs, he explained.
Serenio clarified Berya Tolentino is not a big drug lord in Negros Occidental, but rather the group’s main supplier, only identified as “Camaria.”
Meanwhile, Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18) spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, said they have yet to receive any surrender feelers coming from Berya’s camp, urging the alleged drug lord to surrender.
Previously, Serenio’s camp released their supplemental affidavit alleging additional links between Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) Director, Police Senior Superintendent William Señoron, and several other high ranking law enforcement officials with the Berya drug group and slain Iloilo drug lord Melvin Odicta, Sr.
Besides the allegations against the police, he also detailed how drugs are distributed throughout different towns and cities in Negros Occidental.
Serenio was arrested in Talisay City in January of this year, after the court issued an arrest warrant for the charge of grave coercion. However, he was released from prison last week, after posting bail for his criminal charges.
Serenio is currently at an undisclosed location in Pulupandan./WDJ
